Andrew Ricker began his college education in 2012 at Wright State University to study Motion Pictures Production at the acclaimed Tom Hanks’ Center for Motion Pictures. There, Andrew Ricker grew familiar in shooting 16mm film shorts and developing 35mm stills. Andrew also studied documentary filmmaking under acclaimed HBO documentary filmmaker Steve Bognar. With Steve Bognar, Andrew Ricker produced his student film “At Your Convenience”. Andrew Ricker also studied IT at Wright State University and grew familiar with Java, HTML, CSS, Visual Basic, and SQL. In 2016, Andrew Ricker graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Motion Pictures Production and a Minor in Information Technology.
Andrew Ricker started studying video production in high school at Ottawa Hills, a suburb of Toledo, OH. In a private study at Ottawa Hills High School, Andrew produced weekly videos that were aired on the school’s morning announcements. While in high school, Andrew also expressed interest in the creative arts; receiving a standing ovation and award in the school’s yearly poetry recital contest for his recital of John Keats’ “When I Have Fears That I May Cease to Be”. In December 2010, Andrew Ricker was recognized as the “Student of the Month” for his exceptional academic and personal growth.
Today, Andrew Ricker focuses on helping small business in Charlotte, NC use digital media to realize their potential.
